My home county has an honest to goodness “County Cowboy” on the payroll whose entire job is to wrangle loose livestock or wildlife that have accidentally found their way into developed neighborhoods. Because Texas.

Living in the country, I’ve had the opportunity to lend a hand in several escaped animal situations. It can be quite scary. On one outing I wasn’t watching where I was going and got between a cow and her calf. She didn’t stop chasing me until I made it over a fence. :/
