Post Phil, all the Phils! Yes, my car is named after Phil/Phil from the movie. Why? Because I’m probably going to be buying smarts until the end of time...until the day someone breaks me out of the cycle. ;)

I refuse to believe your car is named after anything but this:

I’d hate for him to look at me that way.

Can’t have a list of Phils without Phil Hill.

what kind of magic did Mercedes do to make this little Smart feel so open, please explain

Plane house/ garage would be epic.
And at least Smarts don’t take up too much space?

A number of little things that are easy to miss! Firstly, the car is tall-ish with a high-ish seat height (you actually sit level with some crossovers/vans). Add to that, the interior space is configured for maximum passenger volume first, cargo second. Pretty much 80% of the car’s length is for the two passengers.
The car was pretty much configured to have SUV-like passenger room (a high roof, steep slope windscreen, high seats, deep footwell, etc) amplified by either a clear roof or a convertible top.
Next time you see a smart, find one with a solid roof, it’s crazy how much a clear roof/convertible top makes a difference in how big a smart feels. :)

I need to stop playing FSX, my realities are blending together lol
I so want like, an old Boeing 727 and make it into a garage/girl cave.

Despite my mixed bag of experiences with a 451, I still want to buy or lease a 453 someday.

A 453 seems like much of the same quirks, just with less stuff breaking. :) That said, mine’s spent more time being parked then driving, so I can’t tell you for sure!
