I’m planning my trackday schedule for the year and thinking of adding a weekend or two there. Looking for any feedback on the tracks and facilities. Which of the two tracks is better for a bike? How are the accommodations / locals / traffic patterns / etc?

Where are you coming in from and what time of year are you planning to come down?

Because, and to answer your questions, it’s a nice track and quite fun, the locals hate everything about it and it’s in the middle of nearly nowhere yet somehow crowded.

There’s some nice places to stay nearby, but if you’re willing to travel a bit, there are nicer places to stay.

Dunno about bikes, but Lightning is hell on car tires. Don’t get me wrong, I love it, but the lightbulb eats tires alive. Thunderbolt is just as much fun but is much easier on the equipment.

Accommodations are OK(you can actually rent a building on the track, but it’s not exactly cheap), locals are just fine, traffic is pretty much non-existent unless you are talking about the line at the gate to get in, which happens everywhere.

My Father has a billion or so Hilton points, so we usually just stay at a Hilton group hotel, the closest one is like 20 minutes out. There are closer hotels though.

Jeff has it 100% spot on. Lightning is murder on tires... the track is in the middle of nowhere, like pretty much every other track.. get with a couple other people and rent at the the track.. makes it a bit easier, I’ve never had to find a place to stay because I’m only 20 minutes away from it

Rinse, repeat on comments before me. Instead of Hilton, I use Choice Hotels (Quality Inn is the closest). I quite like it and the lady that runs it remembers me when I go, even though I’m only there a couple times a year. It also happens to be around 15 minutes away.

Millville itself is kinda sketchy, but the restaurants around are good. I’m partial to diner food, and there is a good local diner that I usually try to hit.

I don’t track a bike, so I can’t help there. I quite like racing Lightning. There is a couple good braking zones. It looks relatively straight-forward, but there’s little bits to going really fast. I have worked Thunderbolt quite a few times but never raced it. It looks like a fun layout.

DO IT!

If this is the track that has dirtbike courses too, I ran a tough mudder at it!

I’ll be coming from PA, so will need to somehow get across Philly without getting murdered or just sitting in traffic for hours.
