Okay I take it that everyone around here knows how a 4-stroke engine works. Still, it’s pretty cool to be able to see the actual explosion propagate in slow-mo and all the cycles! Also shows why you’d want your valves on the top, which I’d never given to much thought to before. Aren’t engines amazing?

Thats awesome. We were using a single like this for work, but the piston was see through. Watching it from below was amazing.

It’s interesting to me that it the ignition wastes a spark every other stroke.

Yeah! Might have to do with how they modified the ignition system though.

I had to look it up, apparently they all do that because the mag is built into the flywheel instead of operated off the camshaft.
