I was just thinking about the Mitsubishi Expo LRV and Eagle Summit Wagon (Colt Vista Wagon, RVR, Space Runner, Panda Stormer, ZZ-Topical Humor, etc.) when I remembered there was a time when many vehicles with sliding doors only had them on one side of the van. But I inadvertently created a want for a three door, maybe AWD or FWD manual 90s Mitsubishi 4-cyl putter-abouter...owners seem to love these!
Weren’t Colts weirdly good in the snow? I remember there were a bunch of late 80s and early 90s cars that were weirdly good at taking on winters.

i really like these. awd in some cases and the same engines that make dsm so desirable.
and an odd sliding door that interferes with the fuel door.
I look occasionally for one as a winter family hauler, just hard to find a decent one

I was reading Brock Yates’s The Critical Path about the Chrysler minivan. The didn’t add a driver’s side door because focus groups were afraid of children running into traffic.

I also really want one, when I was looking for a second car last summer I came across a decent looking one on CL but it was over an hour away, couldn’t swing it with the wife.
