... I’ll look for GM car’s from the 60's and what’s for sale is either way too much of a project, or way too pricey to afford.
Today’s best examples.

“real GTO” I’m skeptical.
FWIW, I tend to look for Oldsmobiles, they don’t get as pricey as Pontiacs and Chevys—

“THE CAR IS NOT COMPLETE”
Thank you, seller, for confirming this in a way almost as definitive as the pictures of the shell in your garage.

Something with an extra pair of doors also helps.

Yeah, those are pretty cheap. I keep getting tempted whenever I see a 62-65 GM B body 4 door hardtop.

Buicks also tend to be more reasonably priced.

True, but I’d avoid any with the Dynaslow trans, and the 300 ci v8 in the A body isn’t as enticing as the Olds 330.

My latest itch is for an early 60's big Pontiac, so I have mostly been searching for those, plus any 64-65 A body. Not that I’ll be buying one any time soon...

Those big Pontiacs are such good looking cars!
