UPDATE: Mounties have found the owner apparently, per this Twitter thread.

shouldn’t pepsi have a trace of what machine they sold to who.

I’m sure these machines all have serial numbers, and that machine must have a licence that is traceable too.

No vending license needed in NB, buy the Mounties have found the owner. Given that they all have serial numbers I’m guessing no one was in the Pepsi office until today.

no licence needed in NB that’s insane.

here in quebec, and even in ontario a licence is needed for everything.

Ha was probably their Sgt. saying “We gotta get that %#^ing Pepsi machine out of the evidence room, it’s been here three months. And it doesn’t have any Mountain Dew left.”

Or like the comment on twitter, there were only 23 cans in the machine, so the RCMP had no case.
