Since I wasn’t required to work yesterday I joined a couple guys and went out to explore some of the Superstition Mountains near Queen Valley, AZ.

Our trip by the numbers. Wish we had a couple more hours so we could go a little further down the trail. Next time I will set some more time aside.

Yep. White cars last a lot longer than anything dark in the AZ sun.

The far left one is my pops that I steal most weekends while I source my next vehicle. Mostly because it is a popular color here in AZ. Blue/Green/Black/Red paint doesn’t last as long here in. Especially if you have to store your truck outside.

Yep, there are times I wish I would’ve went white instead of red. While not as harsh as AZ, CO can still be pretty bad, especially since mine lives outside year round.

That makes sense. We don’t really have the sun where I live, so that is not something I have ever thought of being a problem.

Nice work. Loving the white corn tacos!

South Australian sun gives the same problem as Az sun. The clear coat on the bonnet of my Cruiser has had an ever growing hole for the last year or so. You can see the scabby patch in the picture below.

So I’ll need to get the bonnet resprayed, which will be for the second time for that panel.
