Get yourself a nice Gaz-12 ZIM! One of few in the US, for sure. I know of only one other.

Also, if you’re interested in this car, I have connections for spares. It actually looks in really good condition. just needs the steering wheel replaced (which is available, $500, but available) and a good clean.

I believe these actually had a variant of the Chrysler flathead, good rugged engine; smooth, too.

Gaz 13 Chaikas are among the most expensive of the “upper class” Gaz’s.

You can get a nice Gaz 12 ZIM for about $23,000, at last finding in Ukraine.

You can get a nice Gaz 14 Chaika for about $25,000.

But a 13 Chaika is easily into the $30,000 range before you’re getting anything decent. I found a ratty one for $26,000 once.

Swapping the V8 from a Chaika would be interesting, but I feel like the standard SBC or LS would be below a car like this.
