There I am on my dad’s Sporty. That’s my mom behind me. In the background is my dad’s ‘79 K10 and my mom’s ‘81 Datsun wagon. There’s a lot of feels here. The Sportster was sold in ‘83, to put towards a down payment on the house I grew up in. The Datsun was traded in for a new ‘84 Delta 88 coupe. The K10 was traded for a new ‘88 K1500. I cried when the truck was sold (I was six).
Most of all, I miss Mom. I can’t believe she’s already been gone 5-1/2 years.

I wish I had pictures of myself with my parents and grandparents. Lots of cool cars, including my truck as it used to be my grandmother’s.

Thanks :)
Time does actually seem to make it easier, but man do I wish she could’ve met her grand babies.

I actually found one with my grandparents as well. My grandpa was the coolest dude in the world. It was great to see that picture as well.

You were adorable. Your mom was beautiful. And that bike was fabulous. What great memories. Thank goodness you have good ones.

Too bad you don’t still have that K10.
Sorry about your mom too.

Check out this fat little fuck ... top is me w/ mom’s parents. Joe was a Baltimore taxi driver. He took me to the track, and for sliders.

Awwww, so cute! I love looking at old photos - they bring back fond memories, of cars, trucks, bikes - - but most of all, our loved ones. Treasure that photo, and those memories. I’m sorry your mom is gone, but glad that you have those memories!

Don’t you love that Scandinavian forehead that you can show a fucking movie on ...? It’s normalized somewhat.
