This is a crappy Cavalier at a construction site. I’m pretty sure it was a hand job, but it was very thorough.

in the early 2000's I went to the DC autoshow and i still cannot unsee the terrible paint. I also remember the G35 interior being nice.

There is no excuse for bad paint on an auto show car.

I looked at the original G35 before I got the RX-8. It was nice except I thought that silver paint on the dash was too cheap for an Infiniti. I liked the seats a lot though. I remember them as some of the best seats I’d ever sat in.

When I was working in Baltimore, there were guys that would hang out at shopping center parking lots scoping out cars with dents. No more tools than a drill, a couple hooks (yup, drill and yank in 2003ish), and a five gallon can of mud. They’d approach the owner, and explain that they could fix the car real cheap, just take it to a shop to get painted afterwards! All the expense is in the body work!

Customers would come in with an unsanded blob of cheap mud on their car under the mistaken impression that we’d paint it for a couple hundred dollars.

Those folks usually ended up pretty upset by the time I’d walked them through the shop and shown them proper work...

No, this was a random car I passed on the way back from my ride around the lake. 68F and sunny. I couldn’t pass up a day like this.

I’m having a hard time organizing a trip to see the Integra before I travel Tuesday. If I can’t get help driving it, I may lose it. Everyone’s so busy.

i have done roller, and brush painting on old fenders laying around. usually to get some coverage on them, and get a good idea of how far off of straight they are. i usually give them about a half dozen coats of odd shades of primer on top of the brush work, but i love the brindle finish it leaves after blocking it true......

Kinja'd!!!

i can spot a roller job a ways off these days.....
