I love metric, but I don’t love that the world uses multiple date systems. Might as well just call today 2017-355 because ordinal/Julian dates are more objective.

I was actually taking a Spanish class in the year 2000 and we were all thrilled to be able to stop saying “mil novecientos...” in every discussion. The time savings were amazing!

What had happened is that malls here tend to give you a 15 minute free period before asking you to pay for parking... it only took me 14 minutes to shop for my crap so... yeah..
