Maybe I should wear two pairs of long johns today. On the other hand, it’s almost cold enough for me to go take that -40 photo I promised back in July.

It’s going to be 76 in Austin today.

My girlfriend is down in Texas at the moment and is telling me about how warm it is. I’m only a little jealous.

I think we are gonna have a high of 0 on Christmas here. And those are American degrees.

I can;t believe someone actually named a place Saskatoon.
I also did my math wrong, I was thinking -20C* x 1.8 -32 = -57F but its really like -2F. Still enough for frosticles (frozen testicles) I’m recommend that second pair or just moving.

Join me in being cold, my friend.

Yikes... I don’t miss Canada... 2 degress and I’m dying already. I’ve forgotten the -25 celcius days lol

I forget, where did you used to live in Canada? I grew up in Toronto, so my first winter in Ottawa was a rough one. And now the prairies make both look like easy baby school.

Is that cold enough to throw a cup of boiling water in the air and watch it turn to an ice cloud? I’ve always wanted to do that, but I value my appendages too much to seek out those temps...

Yup, went a little bit the wrong way on that one. Easiest way I remember is that -40 is -40, and at that point, it doesn’t matter if you’re using Fahrenheit or Celsius because it’s goddamned cold.

Montreal... for like 8 years. Noticeably a bit colder than Toronto haha

It’s all the state government, college prefessors and hipsters. That’s a lot of hot air! :D

Not yet, that’s at -40.

Yeah that will put a bit of frost on your nose.

High is 26c or 78f today. I have no comprehension of what negative temperature feels like. I’m pretty sure I would die.

I just went outside to plug in the car while wearing my pajamas. I’ll be surprised if I don’t find frost elsewhere.

It’s not bad if you dress for it. Unless there’s windchill or it’s a wet cold. Then you’re screwed.

Very much so. Plus Montreal is in the valley, making it prone to ice storms. I don’t envy you.
Granted, Montreal is a beautiful city.

-20°C, isn’t that like 40°F?
![]() 12/20/2017 at 09:26 |

You can do that around 0°F, so it should work at -20°C.

Wow. I can’t even imagine. Any colder than -10 and I’d die

How many people who have spent their whole lives in warm climates are scratching their heads at “plug in the car”? lol
