Oh, Delta... one of the three worst American Airlines.
No wonder we can’t be United!

In all seriousness they are my favorite from the big three.

Delta loves their Airbuses.

If they still use those sleek, beautiful, american made b757s then they are my favorites too!

I’m impressed with your ability to identify aircraft. I imagine spending a reasonable amount of time around them would help, but it’s always been one of those things I haven’t been very good at. I’m definitely better at identifying cars than I am aircraft.

I’m leaving in two hours, headed to San Jose where it is actually warm and sunny. We’ve got the same weather in Montana right now but it’s colder.

They are almost exclusively A320’s and 319’s. My connector was a Boeing 717/MD 95.

Well so long as you promise to flip me the bird out the window on your way out of town I will forgive your brief stay in our wonderful state.

Well, it’s all a matter of what you want to spend your time learning. The tail cones on those aircraft are indicative of the manufacturer. Just playing the odds, like a birdwatcher would do, I would guess that those are all members of the A320 family (A318, 319, 320, 321). But you know, I do tend to spend an inordinate amount of time writing about airplanes. That said, there are still some significant holes in my knowledge. For example, I probably couldn’t name many Russian fighters if my life depended on it.

This fog is something else, I really hope my plane lands.

In other news, Airbus makes ugly airplanes. This, of course, is entirely my opinion of Airbus design aesthetics, but I think Boeing makes prettier planes. In this class, the 737 is just so much more graceful.

This was my house this morning, it was dry when I went to sleep.

There’s always auto-land. It’s perfectly safe. Asiana pilots do it all the time .

I can often do it with planes, but more often with cars. Scientists claim that fandom engages the same part of the brain used for recognizing people — ie, an uncanny, subconscious attention to details, even small ones.

You forgot the MiG-23.
No, I just get my MiGs and Sukhois mixed up because I’ve never taken the time to learn them.

I was just there the other day going back to Montana. It’s good to be back as long as I stay indoors and don’t look at the thermometer.

Nice shot. Two baby Busses, looks like the int tip of a 737 peaking out behind them and a 717 way out back.

I flew out on a 717-200, nice plane.
