Was that guy planning to do this from the beginning of the video? Was he part of that oncoming traffic, and then decided to exit, loop around, and take the “open” lane (it kinda looks like it was shut down for construction)?

I’ve watched this several times, and I genuinely have no idea what they were hoping to accomplish... If it wasn’t for the fact they tapped the brakes first I might have though that they had a passenger randomly snag the e-brake or that maybe something broke.
