Sold it yesterday. Funds will be split equally into installing a real interior into the Corvette and a dump into my newly formed Opel GT saving account. I’ve pretty firmly decided that the next car I buy will NOT be a beat to crap $3,000 chariot but a fairly nice $5-8k Opel GT. So the savings account must grow.

So who doesn’t like crabs? And do they mean the pinchy ocean kind or the uncomfortable phone call kind?
Inquiring minds wish to know.
Good call on moving the car, IMO. If I remember correctly it needs nontrivial rust repair.

Opel GT go for good money these days... I remember wanting to buy one when I was like 18 year old or so :)

Opel GT? Good call! I quite like those things, but they are VERY uncommon in Canada nowadays AFAIK...most rusted away :(

Not really the case in Canada. $10k would buy you one of the nicest GTs around.

Just didn’t make monetary sense even for my warped standards.

Did not know those 70s Opels fetched that much now ... used to see them all the time in high school.

Meanwhile I’m saving for a $5-8k Corvair 4-door.
I’m also entertaining the idea of a later-model (1926 or 1927) Model T in 2026 or 2027, so basically when the car is 100 years old.

Hum... Eager to see what you come up with... Never sat in an Opel GT. I wonder if I can fit....

Sad to see it go, but can’t argue in the slightest. I need to see the Opel when you get it. :)
