It’s mostly just paint damage, but still.

Kinja'd!!!

She backed into our neighbor’s car the other day when she had to pick me up from work, on account of the Escort dying. It wasn’t the best day.

And no, it won’t buff out. Kia is a great brand, but their paint might as well be watercolor.

Oh, and the worst thing? This bumper is still fairly new and was flawless until this happened. I’m just glad I hadn’t installed my splash guards yet, or it would have been ripped out.

Didn’t she just get a new car? Why was she driving yours?

Sucks man, for sure. My wife’s cars have always had scratches, scrapes, etc. She just doesn’t give a shit. Big paint scrape from garage post? Oh well, it’s just a car. No biggie.

Drives me insane.

Ugh. There should be a remedial course for drivers who repeatedly hit things at slow speeds, with potential for license suspension if you are hopeless. I worked with a woman who has hit her own cars in her driveway multiple times... and these are the people we share parking lots with.

Yeah, it’s scary. My girlfriend isn’t the worst driver, but it’s unsettling to know that there are worse ones out there.
