In a conference panel discussion at MD Anderson Cancer Center. Just had a good lunch and am ready for a nap. But I am in the front row and must pay attention.

You could replicate my caffeine intake for today:
1 mug of coffee at home
1 20 oz tumbler of coffee brought to work
1 Mountain Dew KickStart Energizing Black Cherry
I have another 20 oz tumbler of coffee on deck.
This will be me at the hospital after I have an infarction:

If I do that, I will spend all day in the bathroom. That’s where they will find me with my heart exploded.

Well the stuff brewed at home is half strength, because my wife says that’s how she can drink more coffee. We put 50/50 regular and decaf beans in the grinder.
But to be honest I’m questioning whether I should go through with the tumbler on deck.

I like my coffee and tea, but I went full decaf years ago. People seem to like me much better now.

I mean, it looks like a couple of them are in the same boat.

Caffeine is my only vice. Well that, and eating organic sugary cereal straight out of the box late at night.

One of the skills of a successful old guy is looking like you’re concentrating while drifting off.

empty the decaf when shes not looking and fill it with the real stuff.

There’s no decaf to empty. I have a burr grinder that gets a mix of regular and decaf beans in the hopper. It mixes them together as it grinds. I’ve tried to sneak it up to a 2:1 ratio of regular to decaf beans but she gets jittery and asks if something is up with the coffee.
