Classic rental, meh trim level, mouse fur seats, and one big ass SUV after daily driving the Sunchaser for a week. But I will say the V8 gives it some nice get up and go.
They wanted me in an Altima, but I paid $15 per day to avoid that. Good Oppo move?

Driving a Japanese made armada on the day of Pearl Harbor? How could you.

For some reason the Patrol seems so much better than this. Not to mention the QX80. Still better than an Altima!

I had its Infiniti-branded cousin as a rental last year (we got a free upgraded to a fullsize). Ugly as sin, but it the space was useful, it was really nice to drive on the highway and it was suuuuper comfy.

It is ridiculously huge. It is hideous. I’d take a Highlander, or an MDX, but you may not have had many choices.
EDIT: and why is it named after a Spanish naval mission that FAILED?

The reason it’s called an Armada is because it’s the size of a small fleet of ships. The mouse fur velour is terrible. It’s like a magnet for dust and hair. We put leather in 1-2 of these a month for the Infiniti dealer on Lake Norman. One of the GMs buys them at every Enterprise sale he finds one.
This was the first current generation Armada I drove I felt like I was captain of a ship
With that said, they’re very nice to drive for an SUV the size of a small house.

I approve! The sheen of the wood reminds me of Buick, I would prefer more of a matte finish. This past thanksgiving I flew into SLC with part my family. We had to drive 4 hours to our final destination in Idaho. My dad paid a $20 upgrade and got this:
