Last week, I said that I prefer the Z4M coupe to the Z3M coupe. With that being said, I love a good clownshoe, and this green over tan showroom condition example certainly seems to be a good one. Bonus 996.

That’s by far the best color combo on any Z3 - and I love the license plate on that clownshoe, too— Macht schnell!

Love that color. Last night I learned Z3s came in a non-clownshoe hardtop. It was the same green but the paint was in very poor condition, peeling clear coat, etc. I don’t know why I always thought it was clownshoe or convertible.

You mean like this?

Yep! I honestly think that is more awkward looking than the clownshoe. Is it still a convertible? I was looking at the one last night and didn’t see how it “worked” so to speak.
Edit: From Wiki, “A removeable hardtop roof was available as an optional accessory.”

Yeah it’s just a shell you bolt onto your softtop car for winter or whatever.

Does that clownshoe come with a backseat?
