"Vimto" (smudgey)

Hey guys,
On Black Friday I posted about buying a Nissan Quest entirely online. I flew to Atlanta on Friday to pick it up but only now have time to post about it!
Traveling from Pensacola to Atlanta was uneventful, except when I landed in CLT the plane parked at the gate intended to fly us to ATL was determined broken and had to be towed away and replaced with another A319 from the hangar. A forty minute delay later and I was on my way.
Once in ATL, I fired up Uber to request a ride...my car was a beige Camry. I literally attempted to get into the wrong Camry THREE. TIMES. I eventually started checking license plates because there were so many beige Camries.
My van was parked under a halo in the Carvana show room, waiting for me. I gave it a once over and a quick test drive, signed my registration and I was off! Totally easy and painless, the vehicle was exactly as described, looks and smells new.
Now all it needs is tinted windows and some brand name tires. I love it!! SO. MUCH. SPACE. And even in a 4200 lb van (lol, this van weighs less than some Challengers) that VQ35 engine sings and hauls, at least when it’s empty.

Where but Oppo can you get a post about a Lambo followed by a post about a new minivan?

those can haul some weight. I had to bring home something like 1600 lbs of hardwood flooring. To keep things tame, I divided it up between our Quest and my fathers TRD Tacoma. Surprisingly, the van is rated at something like 1200 or 1400 lbs and the Taco only at 960 lbs. I think I took 16 boxes and my father took 10.

If he had a Tacoma X-Runner, yeah those have low load ratings due to the “sporty” suspension. So far all I’ve hauled in the van is 60 lbs of boxes...it handled it well. hahah

I dont think its the X-Runner, just a regular TRD, but i guess they still have a different suspension setup.

You also need some alloys to replace the steelies (which you will, of course, put winter tires on? I don’t know if you get snow).
EDIT: Has picture of Mustang in snow. Winter tires confirmed.

I’m in Florida, so no snow here. I do plan to get alloy wheels for it though.

As I gaze upon that van sitting there next to that white sand, I can’t help but think “I HATE YOU SO MUCH.”
Sincerely,
A guy who lived in Navarre for 8 years and still owns a house there but his wife tricked him into moving to cold, gray, drizzly Oregon. God, I miss those beaches.
Congrats on the new van!

Congradulations! I hope you make good use of all that space! It will look so much better with the tint, those are pretty big blackout panels in the corners.

I plan to! And agreed. I have no idea how the previous owner drove around in this fishbowl for 2 years. LOL

I told my wife about a month ago that if I walked in after work and she said “let’s move back to Florida” I would do somersaults up and down the driveway.
