...e.g: Nibby, what do you think of this new Lofree keyboard? It’s a mechanical-keyed board with a new design twist and cordless. Personally, I like my Apple keyboard, but I know some of you like the feel of mechanical keys.

I know. That triggered me immediately. When you’re asking people for beaucoup $ for your startup project, you should take a moment to edit your video.

My take: laughably dysfunctional for the money compared with what one can get a new Model M for.

It’s like everything I buy on Amazon from some up and coming Chinese company. Guys, can you not hire a native English-speaking copywriter or proofer?
Maybe that’s part of the folksy appeal, like they’re saving so much money that spending reduced to customer pass along, we willl.

I see it regularly with professional articles I review from Chinese authors. I routinely request that they get a native English speaker to edit it.

I don’t diminish the skill needed to learn English, just the economic or professional laziness that comes with putting out half-assed copy.

No, and I’m just pointing out how that laziness can shine through even when high stakes like someone’s professional reputation are on the line.

People serious about their keyboards will do nothing but give this a disapproving sneer.

Then I’ve entertained them as well. Mission accomplished.

Heh. I am one of those people serious about their keyboards.
