We drove the new 2018 Kia Stinger GT2, the 365hp all-wheel drive mega-Stinger that costs $52,000. It was good, but...

Same. If it was $51.500 I’d consider

At the lower and medium trim levels, it seems like fantastic value for money. At the top end of the range, it becomes one of those “look what else $52,000 buys you” things.

Which is the same problem that always happens with optioned up entry & medium price cars in a world where premium/luxury brands keep stretching downmarket in a quest for volume - like the Optima SX that tops out at $38,000 fully loaded, or the Fusion Platinum that can get pretty damn close to $40,000.

Nah, to me Kia has a long way to go before I would feel good about having one. I expect depreciation to be fierce with an expensive Kia. Similar to a loaded high end Hyundai.

I think I’d buy one over the TLX A-spec. I like how these look, interior seems like a nice to be. But at 52 grand, you can get a GS 350 F-sport.

If it was really good, I might buy a $25k used Kia...
