It is well established that: Small Car + Big Engine = Hot Rod. The bigger the engine and the smaller the recipient vehicle, the hotter the rod. Putting a 1.8 liter in your Honda CRX? Mild hot rod. Putting a Space Shuttle SRB in your Peel P50? The hottest of rods. Installing a motorcycle engine in a car seems to be a violation of this rule. I hope you will agree with me after reading this article: it is anything but.

So very much want. I had a (completely stock) ‘79 Midget back in high school and that was a lot of fun. I’ve always thought a Midget with an engine swap would be fun, but I hadn’t thought of doing it with a high-output motorcycle engine. This would be super fun.

If you don’t have the time for a project like this, you can buy one already completed.

It sounds like DSR/P2 or F1000 is calling your name.

I had a similar idea, albeit involving a ‘76 Civic that’s been on my local CL for quite a while.

Hey there, saw your car meet story on Jalopnik...mind sharing any of the other “lower-key” car meets that you’ve found outside of Santana Row?
I’ve brought my car there a few times, but it is a bit monotonous. I’ve also been to the Portola Valley meets which are a bit more spontaneous and eccentric.
