OEM grille and new gas struts for the hatch. Chrome badges for rear will be here on Tueday. Let the unnecessary spending continue!
Update: new grille is on

I found an inexpensive set. I’m going to put one on and see how I like it. Then maybe the other two. I was thinking about putting a little color on the grille, but it’s better shape than I thought it would be. No sense in painting it another color if it’s still passable.

Paint the “L” red. Front and back.

Was thinking about a red ring around the badge in front on the grille. Since it’s a 2 minute job to swap, I can always change my mind later.

I found one that’s black with chrome center instead of all satin. But this looks fine for now.

And here I thought you liked the badge-less look. This looks better.

I still say you should have gone to a pick n pull, but, nevertheless, it’s nice

I’m a fan of not spending money. So I spent some money anyway.

“On that front” is phrase referring to referring to the project or task at hand, it’s a pun because it’s literally the front in this case.

Oppo starts another trend - REBADGING!

This is technically Un-bebadging (patent pending). Rebadging would be putting on Altezza grills and such.

I’ve decided that ALL I WANT IS A SPORTCROSS. The second I spot something with less than ~85k miles, and for less than $10k, it’s mine.

Mine had 91k miles and cost 7k, which was followed immediately by a new timing belt, 90k service, repainted bumper, etc.
The 2JZ with VVT is an interference engine so do not postpone the timing belt!

I liked the black grille look, but the OEM one is nice and I can certainly appreciate the class and taste with which you are rebadging your badges.
ETA: ok, undebadging. Badges.

There is an all-black grille with a chrome emblem (That I unfortunately found one week after mine had arrived...). It would cost about $175 though.
