I had an 88 with a weird option set. It was a base model long bed with the 2.3/ 5 speed and factory a/c. It was definitely a work-truck special. I bought it for $300 in 2003 and it blew up in 2004.

My instant response was “those are 1st gen Trooper/Jackeroo tailights so it must be a Rodeo but I don’t think USA got late 80's Rodeo’s...”. How wrong I was!

Not so rare back in the day...just rare now.
The previous generation space cab even had a bubble roof so you could be a hat driver

True. By the time I got it with 220k miles showing and a broken odometer, I’m sure it had less than the 108 hp it claimed from new. But it got 27 mpg all day - better than the EPA ratings of 21/23
