Kinja'd!!!

The Cizeta-Moroder is the most obnoxiously eighties car ever. Sixteen cylinders, quad popup headlights, cheese grater design, and funding from the world’s most ubiquitous Italo-disco producer. I love it so much. And it started production in 1991. But I don’t think that matters.

I find the Vector W8 the most 90stastic.

Had to be done for an article like that! There was a recent Hagerty article on Cizeta but otherwise you’re not gonna see much about it compared to most supercars. One thing that struck me reading the Car article is how fast things were progressing even back then, I won’t give examples as it’s better read there but this is an ‘89 article and the cars are only about 2 years older yet there are quite a few mentions of what they considered outdated at the time of writing

Have you got a link to that? ;)

I like the Cizeta. A lot of the supercars back then weren’t that good and were more about being impressive. The Cizeta does that the best.

I guess with turbos coming in around that time, things were about to take a few leaps for those willing to give it a shot. The EB110 was the same year as the Cizeta, had quad-turbs.

I read both. Great stuff.

The older one is especially interesting. 1989. They mention Senna of course without knowledge that he’d die 5 years later. They mention Gordon Murray and his criticism of the cars they’re writing about, a year or two before he’d release his own competitor in that exact space.

It’s almost like it was written with knowledge of the future.
