So we are around 80 models for the US. What’s crazy is that the lineup is pretty much just steel and gas. Keep that in mind when you talk about FCA lagging in electrified vehicle offerings and just tossing a big engine into everything.

I thought SLC was going away altogether?

Still here through the 2018 model year. Mercedes does offer a ton of convertibles when most automakers only offer maybe zero to four at the top end.

How many of those share the same platform?

It cannot be easy being a dealer trying to stock the right inventory with so many different models. Crazy. Granted, you could narrow it down to mainstream models pretty easily and just not stock a lot of oddball stuff like some AMG models and the suv coupe contraptions.

As Im looking at it Im not sure if there are more than 7 platforms there simply due to some older models like the CLS. I think Mercedes will have that reduced down to 4 or 5 platforms to cover over 100 models by the end of the decade.
