My kid did that to me with Minecraft one day. Spent 60 dollars on DLC. He assumed it was free because he didn’t have to swipe a card.

I’d say there’s a near-if-not-100% chance that they patch them back in within the first 6 months. They’ll say “oh we gave everyone enough time to unlock stuff, so it isn’t pay-to-win anymore!” There is no way that EA can handle looking at all the money they could be making and not just go for it, backlash-be-damned.
