So recently, I complained about wanting to watch Baby Driver and I figured out a solution:
While on turkey vacation next week, I just watch it, get drunk, and curse Kevin Spacey at will.
Until then, I’ve check one film off the list: Thor: Ragnorok. Watched last night. It’s such a fun time that I wished there was a cameo in it from Brian Blessed as Prince Vultan!
Hawkmen! DIIIIIIIVVVVVVVVEEEEEEE!!!!!
I think Arthur Curry will fill in nicely tonight tho

Thor was surprisingly good for a comedy.

Let me know how Justice League is. Reviews are mixed so I’m kinda scared, but as someone who enjoyed Wonder Woman and the controversial Batman v. Superman, I really want to be surprised.

Just watch the movie. Yah, he’s a POS, but don’t act like you have PTSD. Pop some corn and enjoy. It won’t be worse than Sharknado 27.5.

I didn’t look at it as a comedy, but as an action movie that was humorous. It’s the difference between watching something on the
Red/Under Siege
spectrum and
The Hangover.
Watching it for laughs, not really that fun, but watching it for action *with* laughs... a little different. It’s not there to crack you up so much as
entertain
or
amuse.

Thats how I took it too. But fresh off the heels of the recent batch of Marvel’s Netflix series, Thor was a nice change of pace.

All the way through Thor: Ragnarok I was amused by the soundtrack having a lot of synthwave, though I was a little unsure as to why other than “futuristic gladiator city”. Then when the credits rolled, “Mark Mothersbaugh”. Oh.

Speaking of Netflix, I l’ve got a lot of catching up to do since The Punisher goes live tomorrow.

I know it’s a hard sell but if you haven’t seen the 3 hour BvS Ultimate Edition, please do so. Not only is it a much better film, it feels like it’s shorter than the theatrical release.

I just finished the Defenders and the wait for Jessica Jones and Luke Cage is killing me. Also wasnt until recently that I noticed there was a Punsher ad at one of the tube stations in my city, almost too-perfectly named Castle Frank.

Oh, I know. I made double sure to see it once I heard about it. I enjoy it very much, so much that I even bought it on Blu-Ray.

I never watched the Ultimate Version. But I actually didn’t mind Batman vs Superman when I saw it in the theater. I really never understood the hate the movie got. I will need to watch this version when I have some time to kill.

Damn Punisher is coming out already? I’m only on episode 2 of Defenders. Damnit! I have soo much to watch, and no time to do it.
Watching all of the CW DC shows doesn’t help, that’s for sure. That’s 4 hours of programming a week for me to watch when I only get about 5 hours of tv time a week. lol

I was actually a little disappointed in Thor. Not saying that it was bad, not at all. I was just hoping for more. Hard to explain more than that. I think part of it was I think most of the best parts were given away in the trailers.

Oddly enough, I’m listening to Queen right now.

That seems too perfect to be a coincidence.

If it makes you feel better, I’m only 4 or 5 episodes into Jessica Jones

Catch up! I really love the Marvel Netflix shows. I like that they’ve got more of a street level vibe to them then the Marvel movies which are always taking on some kind of global crisis
