Wow. What a looker.
The hardtop looks just as good.
And with the windscreen on.

A car that good looking deserves an equally amazing engine... a BMW S65 or S85 would do nicely.

Probably a V8 from a past Ferrari. 348 maybe.

That is a beautiful car. I love the shape of the windshield, it’s very 80s-90s Group C-ish.

It looks so clean, it’s why it looks so good.

It’s a new car so it needs a modern engine too. Otherwise passing the emission certification could be difficult. And sourcing out of production engines isn’t a very good plan either.
An Ecoboost 2.3 is slightly boring choice and it probably uses a transmission from Ford too. But it should still keep this thing moving quite nicely as it is very light.

Really I just want something high-revving and Italian.
Hmmm...
I say we stick four of these together!

VW toyed with this idea couple of years ago with the Ducati powered XL Sport concept based on XL-1 hybrid. I really couldn’t figure out how they managed to bring the weight up by ~110 kg by removing the diesel-hybrid powertrain and replacing it with small Ducati engine weighing barely nothing.

Do any of those still run? I think it’d be more likely to find a F360 drivetrain or the Gallardo 5.0L V10

I love the hard top, but either way it looks like you’ll ruin the paint getting it in and out.

I remember seeing Arch Duke’s quick shop related to that...
