You can make a small fortune lending these cars to movie production companies, I learned. Basically your car “auditions” for the part.
The huge glut of 80s nostalgia today makes a nice CJ a potential gold mine.

How does one find roles like that? I’ve though about it for the truck maybe. We have a massive movie industry up here, so it’d be easy to find roles. I just need a site or something.

That is one nice Malibu - and I love what they did with the roof, painting it instead of the vinyl roofs that were all over cars from this era.

Usually the casting agency for each specific film handles it, but your local film commission, etc, usually knows what’s up.

This was actually the first time I saw one like this. I was that one dude on the bus who flips out at a nice car on the road. That, and it was a Jeep. Regular people don’t get it.
