I’m up in Canada for work this week and stumbled upon an amazing view or two.

I also have a Sentra for the week. It’s perfectly meh, but has heated seats which is fantastic.

Back in the late 1970s, we took a family trip to the Maritime Provinces, driving from Norfolk, VA all the way to the northern tip of Newfoundland. Visited New Brunswick, PEI, Nova Scotia, and Newfoundland. Saw my first iceberg off of St. Anthony. It was one heck of a trip. I think it took a little more than three weeks. It also kindled my love of long-ass driving trips.

That sounds awesome! I much prefer driving if it’s feasable. I’m hopeful I’ll see an iceberg while I’m here or if I come back.

They’re probably all melting before they get there...

A couple of years later, we flew to Seattle and spent three weeks driving around the western provinces. That was awesome too. But fewer ferries.

Parks Canada put those chairs at scenic places in every National Park I believe.

This is in Nova Scotia. Sorry, I couldn’t find one I haven’t ruined by being in it.

Yeah, I was thinking this trip was too early. Should have a better chance when I come back over winter.

Thanks! I was originally going to go to Halifax, but switched due to scheduling conflicts. I’m pleasently surprised how nice the weather is for this far north.

The weather has been very odd lately - only just starting to dip into the single digits and below 0 Celcius in the last week and a half (at least here).

Cool, try and get to Halifax someday if you can, very nice city! I only live 50 mins from Halifax and attended university there! :)

I lived there for a while. I suspect it was a cold day hiking along that trail. Hell, that trail was cold in the middle of summer.
