Curious, today I’m suddenly getting a crapload of “so and so liked your vehicle”, wondering if anyone else is getting bombarded with notifications. Maybe they just started advertising someplace new. Honestly, I almost forgot I had things set up on that site. Suddenly it’s a thing again?

I had forgotten about it to. Probably bots.

I haven’t used it in a long while. Went from “look at what other people have done to their rides” to “look what you can buy to put on your ride” really freaking fast.

Kinda seems that way. It’s way to sudden and way to systemic to be natural.

Yeah. I see the attraction to it, it would be neat to have an active community in one place. There used to be an “Oppo Club” there too, but I can’t find that anymore. A few things I didn’t like was only being able to use real names and the lack of an interactive conversation - it seemed like they were working on that part but now it’s all this part, that part, this build that build etc. and not much commenting or interaction. Just a dumping ground.

Not five minutes ago I mentioned this to my pals. Three new followers today for me, only one has a mod score above 0.

Yeah, something’s up. Seems like they unleashed a bunch of bots to drive in traffic or something...

I’ve had two people in like three days follow my 2012 Sonic I listed as a daily driver. Has to be bots.

And just now I got this message from a Wheelwell staff member:
Sigh.

I got about three new follows also. I have two cars and a motorcycle posted on wheelwell, but I haven’t been active since... ever.

So now we know what’s happening. They are trying to breathe life into it with some paid ‘activity’.
