I think I might have an unhealthy addiction to the Coyote motor. Strangely enough the first Coyote powered Mustang I drove and reviewed wasn’t a S197 platform car but rather the newer S550 platform.
On the day I reviewed this one that changed. I finally know what my car could have been had the Coyote been around in 2005.
It feels more mature, way beefier and the potential of bolting on a centrifugal supercharger to extract 600whp is mighty enticing. What is your opinion on the Coyote powered S197's?

Well I have a black ‘14 GT premium so my opinion is very high. The one thing that made a huge difference easily for me was a throttle response device to take away the fly-by-wire rev lag. Oh also the gt500 axle back exhausts are what should have been stock.

I love the look of the quad exhaust on the ‘13 and ‘14 GT500's! Definitely a mod I would look into myself if I had one of those. I have seen them on the first body style but they always look off unless you go ham and buy a rear bumper kit for it.

Aww now I feel like I’m letting you down, but I was referencing these:

I guess they’re really GT500-style. But they are incredible. Just enough to sound like the 5.0 should, but not loud enough to be a disturbance. Single biggest compliment generator.

Since I have a 14 RS3 Mustang, my opinion is that they are very good!

Oh no, not at all! That means you get a nice sound without having to cut into the bumper!
