Spotted a Talbot Matra Rancho a while back, one of possibly 5 in North America. Still baffled as to why it went to a Hyundai dealer of all places by flatbed.

Either trusted mechanic or it belongs to one of the staff there. That would be my guess, at least.

Oooh, I remember them. Based on a Simca van as I recall.

Simca 1204s were the last Simcas ever officially imported, and nothing with a Matra badge ever had an official distribution channel.

Could also have been an inspection of some kind I suppose. The local FCA dealer is the cheapest out-of-province mechanical inspection place around, or so I’m told. I’m disinclined to go there though, as I’m less interested in “cheap” as I am in “willing to pass something borderline sketchy”.

That’s what I also think. Maybe it went there due to someone’s connections and got inspected

Hyundai dealer owner bought it/owns it perhaps and needs a service/repairs?
