It’s like down shifting to 2nd at 60 when you were aiming for 4th, 60 is at 7000 in 2nd, and it ends at like 7025.

Just trying to imagine hearing that and other drivers watching that bucking action as you get it back into the appropriate gear

It’s quite loud. My car is straight piped, and the turbo doesn’t really muffle anything up at that point. Good thing my car is tuned, it would have “over-revved” if not.

Did the same (went to 1st from 3rd, thought I had only pushed the button once) on a 2nd gear hill in the Ram. The u-joints cried a little.

I did that a few months after getting my license. Fifth to second at 60 mph. The synchro spun up the clutch too much and it exploded. The mechanic said the clutch plate was basically turned to dust. Mom was NOT happy with me.
