Took my fiancee to an antique store she wanted to stop by. Found some quality vintage tools. For 5 bucks each I couldn’t t pass them up! Forged, Crescent brand if anyone if anyone is interested. I might stop by again, they had some nice wrenches as well

Looking at those makes me think you’ve been digging through my dad’s toolbox. Many of the tools he has are things that he inherited from his father, a man that spent his entire career as a tool and die maker. Lots of ancient stuff that still works remarkably well 60-70 years on...

Nice! I have several old tools that I bought at antique/resale shops. I use them too. Some of those old hand tools are SO good!

I love old tools. There’s an antique store near me that has a whole bunch. I have a few Crescent adjustable wrenches and pliers.

i usually go to the antique shops to go tool shopping. i usually get my good hammers, and vices, and old wrenches there...... found a REAL good prybar not too long ago, one like for pulling dents, but with a nice long foot on it. most of the people at the shops look at you funny and ask what it is that you are buying. i actually know what the tools are.......

I never realized that antique shops carry tools. I will definitely be keeping an eye out from now on. One of the few cases where they really don’t make em like they used to

estate sales TOO..... if there is a garage, ESPECIALLY at old houses, you have to hit those up too. there is treasure EVERYWHERE....... i wish i would have of bought the anvil, and smithing tools that i had seen in some dead guy’s garage(looked like no one had been in there in decades). you can do SO MUCH with just a funny shaped lump of iron, and a hot fire, its unreal.....
