On this machine just plain black. I’m old enough to have been shaped by the times when full screen wallpaper would eat a significant portion of a machine’s memory, so I never really use it on my computers.

I went plain black recently to show off my OLED screen (even though I’ve had one for several years), and I just can’t bring myself to change it to anything else…

I’m kinda digging Oreo’s use of album art colors on the lock screen though.

IIRC doesn’t OLED work by basically shutting off those pixels when displaying black?

Yup. Each pixel is individually it’s own backlight, so better contrast and no light bleed in the blacks.
