Found some of these at a market that’s going out of business, priced at 50% off. I haven’t had them in ages, but remember them fondly from my youth 40+ years ago. Sure, there are better sausages out there, but these are a nice reminder of childhood. And today, like then, no ketchup - only mustard, this evening’s choice being White Castle Horseradish Mustard, good stuff.

Aw, these were one of my favorite foods as a kid in the 70s!! They seem to look different now - I recall them being darker, but that might just be my memory.
And hell yes, mustard only!! Although it would have been Plochman’s yellow for me.

I thought the same thing. I remember them being a bit darker, with a more mottled look. But they still have essentially the same taste, with the coarse grind on the meat (paging EL_ULY...)

My grandmother would make those when we were kids, (I’m pretty sure she liked them even more than we did.)

I only put mustard on hotdogs too. No way to Ketchup.

A little brag. My 9-year-old made pork loin, rice, and broccoli for dinner. The only help I gave him was opening and shutting the grill. He followed directions for the rest of it, measured out everything and also used the meat thermometer.
Proud dad moment.

Nicely done, sir.
I went over to my sister’s place back in September when I was visiting back home. My 15 year old nephew cooked the salmon, but accidentally caught it on fire. It’s good that I like things that are blackened as well as sashimi...
