First time I’ve seen one in the wild that wasn’t parked. Nobody is going to mistake it for a Ferrari V8 or anything, but BMW did a good job getting a deep loud noise that doesn’t sound buzzy or strained out of the 3 cylinder motor.

The i8 is one of my favorite cars for the money since it was released. I would probably get something sportier but for people who aren’t major gearheads I think it’s exceedingly underrated. Future classic.

For a few days yeah. I get back to SA later in the week. The past 2 weeks I was in Albuquerque. My life has been pretty hectic recently.

Somewhere I think I have video of an i8 at an HPDE. I know I have pictures, but I can’t remember if I took video or not. Either way, it sounded great out on the track.

I mean I guess I expected it would sound good based on the videos I’ve seen but in the back of my head I thought there is no way that little motor really sounds like that in real life. But it really does.
