There’s a towing company I used to work with that had gas F650 flat bed tow trucks. The first time one was pulled up, I was so confused because the thing was making basically no noise. Seems like a weird place to cut a corner to save cash.
If somebody asks what kind of mileage that truck gets, the only thing you can do is give the old Renier Wolfcastle “0 city, 1 highway”.

Likely the V10.

On the other hand, the V10 makes more power at the expense of torque and is significantly cheaper to maintain. You can get the V10 in school buses now.

If I ever win the redneck 401k I will have one of those. It’s so absolutely stupid it’s hard to not like it.

Mine would have to be a van and a diesel but yeah I hear ya.

It would have to be Diesel. An Earthroamer style Van is also on the list.

I saw an International heavy truck-based pickup today while out driving. Seems incredibly front heavy.

I’ve driven a couple of pickups and box trucks with the modular V-10. I’m convinced the only things it does well is consume fuel and make noise, because making power sure wasn’t the case in the trucks I drove.
