Can’t you guys just live near the equator like normal people? The 12-hour difference between Eastern US and Philippines was perfect. Now I literally have to wait another hour for anything nice to come out of the States.

So what you’re saying is that you like DST, because you don’t like that we’re switching back to normal time until next year.

Nice things come out of the U.S.?

I know nothing.

OK, OK, maybe I expected too much, but most of the stuff I like to watch I can watch because it’s predictable—all I have to do is know the Eastern time and I can gauge whether or not I get to watch it in a good time here in the Philippines. Like, say, Rick and Morty’s 11pm Eastern, so that’s 11am Manila. NPoCP goes up at 8am, but after 5 November, I’ll have to wait until 9pm.

Or be like Saskatchewan and don’t bother with it.

Time measurements are arbitrary and can be nullified by changing your schedule.

Alternatively, they’re an ingenious and precise construct designed to liberate the navigator.
Time, on the other hand, is an illusion. Lunchtime doubly so.

If you think about it living near the equator (or not) has no bearing on which time zone you are on.
Methinks you are confusing parallels and meridians.

Sorry, I like driving to work not in the dark.

I loathe the time changes. Arizona hasn’t fallen off the face of the earth for not changing.

But only when measuring longitude.

Little known facts: The United States produces the same percentage of total world goods as it did in 1990, and when adjusted for inflation twice as much as it did in the 1970s.

Yes, I want Daylight Saving all year. I’d gladly go to work in the dark for an hour of light after work.
