Humans are Gorillas with coilovers, improved suspension geometry, and RWD.
Other primates heavily rely on their arms and hands for locomotion, doubling the work load of their arms like the front wheels on a FWD car. While humans segregate locomotive and motor tasks between legs and arms, like a RWD car.
Basically we’re all sports cars.

Wouldn’t a lot of primates have at least part-time AWD with torque vectoring since they can send power to all four corners in varying amounts? It’s a FWD-biased system, so that makes primates... Haldex AWD?

My friends already think I’m speaking of witchcraft and parallel dimensions when I try to explain the most basic car related topic. If I start comparing my Miata to an Ape I’m going to get committed to the Psych ward.

wow that’s bananas!

Technically since Haldex doesn’t usually have torque vectoring it would make them Saab XWD which adds rear axle torque vectoring to Haldex. And they would be driving that Saab in reverse.

I dunno. I know some guys in IT that look more like panel vans to me.

AWD from the factory:
...eventually a diff breaks and becomes RWD.

It’s unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate, if you’re the parent) that by the time humans make any meaningful power we can’t use AWD without being laughed at.
