Ordered, not purchased. After hunting around a bit it seems that the best deal to be found was over at Costco, at $82.99. Of course, they don’t have what I need in stock, but say that they can get it in 2-3 weeks which should be acceptable. We have a few more weeks of relative warmth around STL, so I should have it just in time before winter hits.

That’s a really long wait time. Costco has great deals, but damn, they can’t just flag down one of the big green trucks?

One would think, but what are the odds that the truck doesn’t have what I need either? Yeah, the wait is a bit much, but considering that it’s cheaper than every other name brand or OEM battery by $40-50, I think I can wait a little bit.

When you buy a Miata, you can shop in the Lawn & Garden battery section and spend even less!

If you have a Walmart nearby, maybe just get one there. Their Everstart brand is rated better than Interstate by Consumer Reports.

I’ve not heard great things about Walmart batteries and crossed them off my list. That, and I hate shopping there and supporting that company; I feel like I need a shower afterwards, and I don’t have any hot water at home...
