I can’t place it. Convertible, oval tail lights, round side mirrors, debadged... something just doesn’t add up for me

Doug DeMuro FTW! I’m not worthy.
Now how did a Cappucino end up in NC?
![]() 10/27/2017 at 23:25 |

The Suzuki Cappuccino is now legal for U.S. import.

They’re old enough to be here now.

They are new here. Keep an eye out for the Honda Beat.

Cappucinos first went into production in 1991, meaning it’s legal to import 1991 and most 1992 models into the US. Likely came in through one of the various import dealers in that region of the country.

That’s a Cappucino Kei! Canada? Can’t import these into US.
EDIT: I stand corrected, didn’t realise they were so old!

Saw one at Import Alliance this past weekend.

Is it a Suzuki Cappuccino?
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:32 |

I read this in that voice from Burnout Paradise when you win a car you have to crash to get
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:48 |

I needzzzz one of these! Can you tell me about what they cost?
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:49 |
|
5 to 8000$, shipping to the US included... They are fairly cheap. I have a $7500 and a $6000 one currently in stock.
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:51 |
|
Is that to a port only?
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:52 |
|
?
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:53 |
|
Yes to any Ro-ro capable port... You have to add another 600$ in tax and broker fees for the car to be DMV ready... Where are you located?
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:56 |
|
This one for example was $8000 landed...

Dead smack in the middle of the country. Welp.
![]() 10/28/2017 at 00:59 |

Brokers can help out shipping the car to where you are but it definitely adds up to the total of the car... No idea how much it would cost you extra. Best being to just road trip back with it from the port...

I also actually know this car... Repainted and most certainly damaged (badly fitting front bumper that wasn’t ever secured back in place on pictures), sold with Black Racing wheels that the importer was swearing were real Watanabes in spite of the “BR” logo clearly visible on the pictures... The guy selling it for waaaay too much is the shadiest importer in the business lol

Even Galveston Texas? It’s probably the closest at 13ish hours away.
![]() 10/28/2017 at 01:14 |

Yep, I have a friend who had a car shipped there before... He could most likely help.
![]() 10/28/2017 at 01:17 |

Evidently Yes! but I had no idea

Suzuki Cappucino! :D
I love the Cappucino, but being the weirdo that I am, I’m partial to the first-gen Daihatsu Copen more, even if it is objectively worse in every way. :P
![]() 10/28/2017 at 11:15 |

You should get one.
