They’re the first EVs to actually get me a bit excited for the coming onslaught of electric cars. If more of them can be designed this well, I’m very intrigued. I’d love something like the Urban EV concept as a daily. Much better than a Leaf, or a Bolt. It’s refreshing to see a company realizing that electric cars don’t have to be shapeless blobs. It’s also nice to see Honda put effort into a design, instead of just throwing angles at everything.
I’m sure they’d be out of my budget, but if they are produced fairly close to these concepts, I could see myself wanting them, which is something I can’t say about any current EVs.

The Mk1 GTI and 2000GT would like a word about the styling
![]() 10/25/2017 at 13:45 |

I really enjoy the styling on both of these as well.
Not sold on replacing the grille with a display that reads weird messages to other people.

Why are we designing these as if there is an engine under the hood of these cars? Give me a real electric car, not some poseur that’s trying to fit in with ICE vehicles.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 13:48 |

I see more 1st gen Civic than GTI in the one on the right.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 13:53 |

Looks like a 2000GT and a Corrado. These are not bad things.

Crumple zone?
![]() 10/25/2017 at 13:54 |
|
no more hoods!!!!
![]() 10/25/2017 at 13:55 |
|
Make the wheels on the hatch about 3 inches smaller and I’m sold
![]() 10/25/2017 at 13:55 |

The whole car has crumple zones, not just empty lie of a long front hood.

This is what peak performance looks like.

i like them... but since nissan teased me with the id x nismo... and then went haha not making it i’ve stopped believing anyting good will ever come from a major company again...
they’re all big meanies *sulks*
but yeah....if they actually make some... then sure... i like them... might even sway me away from splosion powered cars

RIP my legs.

sorry about that
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:03 |

Forget that electric nonsense! Put the 1.5?? l turbo from the new Si in that retro Civic and now we’re talking.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:03 |

It was designed to resemble the S600 Coupe.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:04 |
|
Come to think of it, it’s as much the wheels as anything else. Still.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:05 |
|
Because that’s the only way to get people excited about electric cars.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:06 |

*looks down*
Yep.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:14 |
|
That’s exactly why I like them so much
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:14 |
|
Yeah I’m hoping the production version will do away with that, and the weird screens in the doors.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:15 |
|
That would be excellent
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:16 |

These are electric and Honda (Earth Dreams, trademark!) so they have a veeeeery slight chance of being put into production. Although they won’t look this awesome.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:26 |
|
I really, really dig em.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:29 |
|
Even ignoring that they’re EVs, they’re the best looking concepts to come from Honda for a long time

Step 1) Buy it
Step 2) remove all golf cart electrical crap
step 3) insert fast engine and manual transmission
step 4) live happily ever after

If Toyota doesn’t actually make the SF-R, that’s the next best option.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 14:52 |

I do too. They are simple designs. Going away from the intake-holes-everywhere design philosophy of recent.
On a side note the grill display system could be a very useful tool for manufacturers.

I thought Nissan should do a new Pao electric, or petrol for that matter.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:03 |
|
Or both, that would be awesome. Nissan should be doing a lot of things, but instead they made the Murano CrossCab
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:06 |

I’m fine with it if it’s usable space like a frunk. I have a hatchback and sometimes I with I had a trunk
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:09 |
|
They won’t do it with the fit so I doubt they’d do it for a smaller car
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:11 |
|
the one on the right looks like a frog who is disappointed about something
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:18 |
|
I think rs the flat hood line that that brings out the GTI look.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:19 |

FRUNK!
![]() 10/25/2017 at 15:20 |

Oh, no contest. I’d even take out the words “from Honda,” and say that they’re among the best in the last 5-10 years, from anywhere.
![]() 10/25/2017 at 17:14 |
|
I imagine It’s disappointed that it probably won’t be a production car
![]() 10/25/2017 at 22:53 |

I really like the one on the right, wheels and all. So long as I can still be the one driving, Id totally go there
![]() 10/26/2017 at 09:11 |
|
The one on the right looks like a modern rip off copy of a 1st generation VW Golf or rabbit to me
![]() 10/26/2017 at 10:23 |
|
They’re going for the first gen Civic, but I thought Rabbit when I first saw it too
