Notifications seem to be broken. I saw two this morning, went to check on them, and the box just sat their with the “loading” animation. Anyone else having trouble?

That’s been happening to me for some time now. Also sometime last week, I lost the blue notifications bubble over the menu icon on my iPhone, but it’s still there on my desktop.

Oh yeah, it’s been like that for me going on a week now. I’m not surprised when Kinja is broken; I do get surprised when it works, however...

Its been well and truly borked for about a month now. I put in a request to see if they could fix it and they got back to me asking when and where it happens. I responded all the time and everywhere. So we’ll see if that does it.

If you can get to it, just bookmark your Dashboard and go straight there to see if you have any notifications.

Yeah, I have to constantly request desktop mode in Chrome on my tablet to get the bubble.

As with all things Kinja, I’m hoping this too shall pass. Kinda like a kidney stone—painful while it’s happening but ultimately transient.

I’m noticing the Notification dot on the Hamburger menu is no longer working, in mobile view. You have to open the menu, THEN the notification centre inside will show the number of pending notifications.

Yeah, ttyymmnn and Toni Cipriani both twigged me to that. Shame we have to figure this stuff out in the first place.

I wonder if it has anything to do with this “digitru.st” thing. I’m noticing Notification link clicks are being redirected from this “cdn.digitru.st” link.

I was getting that last week, though it has fixed itself on my desktop. Laptop is still broken I think. You might try a hard refresh (on Windows hold ctrl while refreshing) to see if that helps.

For those with AdBlockers, try filtering the domain “digitru.st” .
I just tried uBlock Origin, it restored the ability to jump to a comment after clicking a notification.

No AdBlock at work, but they could be firewalling the domain. Come to think of it, I don’t have AB on my tablet either.
