I honestly love the way this looks but cutting a massive chunk of structure out of a 20 year old car seems less than safe.

Should’ve bought a 3-series convertible instead...

safety is overrated

That you “honestly love the way this looks” says more about you than you know....

Having the body flex like a garden hose probably helps it get over obstacles, like bugs and pebbles for example, with zero suspension travel.

At least they didn’t fuck up a coupe or a Hatchback.
the greatest sin would be to a hatchback

It doesn’t look bad as a convertible, surprisingly. Too bad it would fall apart going across an expansion joint.

If you want to hold forth on safety, first consider your audience.

Yeah I’m not much for the stance or awful lip but the Civic looks surprisingly alright without a roof.

Fairly certain that car would bottom out on a puddle.

Or be a dick. That’s cool too. The stance and awful lip can go but that Civic, conceptually, looks pretty cool without a roof.

Hey man, it’s your dishwashing water. Soak in it!

To be fair. It’s slammed so low that the likelyhood that it will need that support in an accident is very slim.

I won’t say anything about if I like the style or don’t like the style, but to the structural integrity...
WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS TO A FERIO? *sobs*
![]() 10/23/2017 at 10:03 |

Ignoring the awful mods and stance I’ll mostly agree. It doesn’t look too bad. Personally, I’d weld some supports in and weld the doors shut. Embrace the topless life and have to hop in.

I miss my ferio. Impressively well-built car for 300k miles. Put some new OEM shocks and Eibach springs and it struck an amazing balance between good looking ride height, comfortable ride, and less-crap handling. Highway noise was stupendously low for what it is, as well. And that transmission... boy howdy. Those 5 speeds can take a beating and those D16s would just keep on trucking.

True. Don’t need structural integrity if the whole car is just being supported by the ground anyways.

I only bathe in 20 weight motor oil.

I’m not a fan of the wheels or that lip but yeah it does look better than what I thought it would

He didn’t pay someone 200$ to take a sawzall to his car right?
![]() 10/23/2017 at 10:23 |

No. he bought this car for $200 and has just been doing dumb shit to it for the ‘gram

Smart! That way it’s more flexible so it can kinda ooze over those annoying speed bumps instead of getting hung up.
