Porsche’s very own teaser. Driver looks like he want’s to eat a baby after driving the T to the top of a hill.

But everything else is fun. Source: Porsche

So please, take my advice and stay away from the 911 T.

So it’s a cheaper 911 R? I like it.

Not exactly. It’s a stripped down base 911, with no radio, pull straps for door handles, etc. But according to the specs it’s only 11 lbs lighter (yup, ELEVEN) and like $10,000 more than a similarly spec’d base model.

Press release says 3142 lbs. Base Carrera is 3153 lbs curb weight.

I’ve read a few places now that its a stripped down S? Also while googling I found this https://www.caranddriver.com/news/2018-porsche-911-gt3-touring-photos-and-info-news which titillates me more

The new T has the same 3.0 liter, 370hp engine from the base Carrera.

Yes, the GT3 Touring is like the new R, except anyone can order one. (well, anyone with the cash!)

Is anyone else surprised its only 10lbs lighter than the base Carrera? That’s nothing considering how much they changed. When they said “lightweight”, I was expecting 100lbs or something.
